Agenda Item: International Cooperation in Combating Organized Crime

Interpol, the International Criminal Police Organization, plays a crucial role in facilitating cooperation among law enforcement agencies worldwide to combat organized crime. Organized crime poses significant threats to global security, stability, and development, transcending national borders and requiring a coordinated response. With 195 member countries, Interpol serves as a vital nexus for law enforcement agencies worldwide. Through its extensive network of member countries, Interpol fosters information exchange, joint operations, and capacity-building initiatives to address various forms of organized criminal activities such as human trafficking, drug trafficking, cybercrime, and terrorism.
